1. The agreement

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are an agreement between you and Evigasoft Canada Inc. (“Evigasoft,” “we,” “us”), a corporation incorporated under the Canada Business Corporations Act with its registered office in Alberta, Canada, and they govern your use of the Tame Inbox website, web app, mobile apps, and related services (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your information. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

If you install Tame Inbox from an app store such as the Apple App Store or Google Play, the store’s own terms also apply to that installation and to purchases billed through the store.

2. The Service

Tame Inbox provides email-management tools for mailboxes you connect: an inbox view, AI-assisted sorting, summaries, translation, reply drafts, search, shared task groups, and cleanup tools such as automated unsubscribing. Some features are free; AI features consume credits that can be purchased. We are always improving the Service, and features may be added, changed, or removed over time.

3. Your mailbox and your authorization

The Service works by accessing mailboxes you connect through your email provider (Google, Microsoft, or Yahoo). By connecting a mailbox, you authorize Tame Inbox to access it and to take the actions you request in the app — reading, organizing, moving, and deleting messages, sending replies you approve, and carrying out cleanup actions you queue. You confirm that the mailbox is yours or that you are authorized to use it, and your use of each provider remains subject to that provider’s own terms.

Actions taken in your mailbox are real: a deleted message goes to your provider’s trash, a sent reply comes from your address, and moved messages live in the folder you chose. You are responsible for reviewing what you ask the Service to do.

4. Automated actions — read this one

Tame Inbox executes the instructions you give it. It does not guarantee outcomes that depend on third parties, and it is not a substitute for checking your own email.

When you use cleanup features, you acknowledge that:

  • unsubscribe requests are fulfilled by the sender, not by us — we contact the sender’s advertised unsubscribe endpoint or send an unsubscribe email from your account, but whether the sender honors the request, and how quickly, is entirely up to the sender;
  • unsubscribe emails sent on your behalf are sent from your own mailbox and appear as sent by you;
  • AI-assisted sorting and categorization can make mistakes — an important message may be categorized as low priority, and a message you wanted may be moved. Review your folders regularly and do not rely on the Service to surface time-critical mail; and
  • you decide which senders to unsubscribe from and which cleanup actions to queue; consequences of those choices — including missed messages from senders you unsubscribed from — are your responsibility.

5. AI features

AI features generate content automatically. AI output can be incomplete, out of date, or simply wrong, and the same input can produce different results. Factual statements in AI output should not be relied on without independently checking them. You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated drafts before sending them — once sent, an email is yours. What we send to our AI provider, and how it is handled, is described in the Privacy Policy. You can report problematic AI output to [email protected].

6. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service, and at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction (or have your parent or guardian’s consent) to purchase credits. You are responsible for keeping access to your devices, provider accounts, and Tame Inbox account secure, and for the activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly at [email protected] if you believe your account has been compromised.

7. Shared groups

Shared task groups let you share tasks with people you invite. Anything you put in a shared group is visible to its members, so share only what you intend them to see, and only invite people you trust. When you enter information about other people, you are responsible for having the right to provide it. You own your content; you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, and display it solely to operate, provide, and secure the Service for you and your group. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for brief persistence in backups as described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Acceptable use

When using the Service, you agree not to:

  • break the law, infringe others’ rights, or use the Service with a mailbox you are not authorized to access;
  • use the Service to send spam, bulk unsolicited email, or unlawful or harmful content;
  • probe, disrupt, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users’ accounts or groups;
  • scrape the Service, reverse engineer it except where the law permits, resell it, or use it to build a competing dataset;
  • circumvent billing, credit metering, or usage limits; or
  • misuse AI features, including attempts to generate unlawful or harmful content.

9. Credits and billing

AI credits

AI features consume credits. Credits can be purchased through Google Play, the Apple App Store, or on our website through Stripe. Purchased credits do not expire. Free or promotional credit allowances may be subject to their own stated limits. Credits have no cash value, are not transferable, and are a licence to use AI features, not property.

Where you bought them matters

Purchases made through Google Play or the Apple App Store are billed by Google or Apple and are managed and refunded through your store account, subject to the store’s terms and refund policies — we cannot process those refunds directly. Purchases made on our website are billed by Evigasoft through our payment processor (Stripe).

Refunds and price changes

Except where a refund is required by applicable law or by the store you purchased through, purchases are non-refundable once credits have been consumed. If we change credit pricing, the new price applies to future purchases only — credits you already hold are unaffected. Taxes may apply based on your location.

10. Third-party platforms

The Service depends on third-party platforms — including Google, Apple, Microsoft, Yahoo, Anthropic, Stripe, and Cloudflare — that we do not control. Your relationship with your email provider is governed by that provider’s terms, and providers may change or revoke API access, throttle connections, or modify their services in ways that affect the Service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, all warranties and liability are expressly disclaimed on behalf of Microsoft, Google, Apple, Yahoo, and our other platform providers: they are not parties to these Terms and have no obligations to you under them.

11. Changes to the Service and to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service and the law evolve. If a change is material, we will give you at least 30 days’ notice — by email or in the app — before it takes effect, identifying what is changing. If you do not agree to a material change, stop using the Service before it takes effect and, if you hold unused purchased credits, contact us for a refund of those credits. Continued use of the Service after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms. Changes are never applied retroactively.

12. Termination

You can stop using the Service, disconnect your mailboxes, and delete your account at any time in Settings or as described on our account deletion page. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, where we reasonably believe it is necessary to protect the Service or other users, or where the law requires — with notice where practicable. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 4, 7, and 13–16) survive it.

13. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, that AI output will be accurate, or that any third-party sender will honor an unsubscribe request.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or conditions. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any warranty, condition, right, or remedy that applies to you and cannot lawfully be excluded — including under Alberta’s Consumer Protection Act, Quebec’s Consumer Protection Act, and other Canadian and EU consumer protection legislation.

14. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law: (a) Evigasoft will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to the Service — including losses caused by missed or miscategorized email, unfulfilled unsubscribe requests, or reliance on AI output; and (b) our total liability for all claims arising out of or related to the Service is limited to the greater of the amounts you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or CAD $50.

These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for fraud or wilful misconduct, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, and, for residents of Quebec, liability for intentional or gross fault. Nothing in these Terms limits the mandatory consumer protections of the place where you live.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Alberta, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes may be brought in the courts of Alberta, and both parties attorn to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of those courts. If you live elsewhere, nothing in this section deprives you of the protection of mandatory consumer-protection rules of your home jurisdiction or of the right to bring proceedings there where the law gives you that right. These Terms do not require you to arbitrate: nothing in them limits your right to bring an individual claim in a court with jurisdiction.

Before starting a formal proceeding, please contact us at [email protected] — most issues can be resolved quickly and informally.

16. General

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any terms presented at purchase, are the entire agreement between you and Evigasoft about the Service. If part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. We may assign these Terms as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets; you may not assign them. Our not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it. For copyright or content complaints, contact [email protected].
